Rampal: The joint forces have arrested three alleged drug traders from Adaghat village under Rampal upazila, seizing heroin, cash, and other belongings from their possession last night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Major Imrul Kayes, commander of the 42 field regiment artillery of Rampal camp, informed reporters that acting on a tip-off, the forces raided a house and arrested the three individuals with 22 grams of heroin and cash amounting to Taka 1,99,330. The operation also led to the seizure of four android phones, a button mobile set, a weighing machine, a blank page of a cheque book, one Yamaha motorcycle, 1000 pieces of forged currency, and one pair of earrings from the house.
The individuals arrested have been identified as Baizid Hassan Rabbi, 22, son of Ashiquzzaman Tomas of Adaghat village; Rabiul Islam Raju, 34, son of Zihad Sheikh; and Morsalin Sheikh, 23, son of Abul Kalam Sheik, all from the same village. They were subsequently handed over to Rampal Police along with the seized items. A case has been filed with Rampal Police under the drug control act in connection with the arrests.
