Dhaka: One dengue patient died and 114 have been hospitalized across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during this period, 10 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division while 43 were hospitalized in Chattogram, 31 in Dhaka division, 10 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 19 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and one in Mymensingh division, as stated in a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of cases has risen to 16,395, with 61 deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, reported this year. During the last 24 hours, 109 patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country.
Last year, the total number of cases rose to 101,214, while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
