Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thunder showers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, 'Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,' said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
The weather forecast also indicated that both day and night temperatures might see a slight increase across the country. The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded at 34.8 degrees Celsius in Tetulia under Rangpur Division, while the minimum temperature today was noted at 24 degrees Celsius in Tangail.
Residents of the capital can expect the sun to set at 6:48 pm today and rise at 5:22 am tomorrow, as detailed in the weather bulletin.
