Dhaka: River ports in the regions of Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, and Noakhali have been instructed to hoist cautionary signal number one until 6:00 pm.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, rain and thundershowers accompanied by temporary south/south-easterly gusty or squally winds with speeds ranging from 45 to 60 kph are expected in these regions. Consequently, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a warning for river ports to display cautionary signal number one.
The warning, which is intended for inland river ports, became effective from 9:00 am and will remain valid until 6:00 pm today.
