Two Dengue Patients Die, 321 Hospitalized in 24 Hours

Dhaka: Two dengue patients died and 321 have been hospitalized across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during this period, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported that 110 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 31 in Chattogram, and nine in Dhaka division. Additionally, 27 patients were admitted in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 47 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 27 in Khulna, 10 in Mymensingh, 57 in Rajshahi division, two in Rangpur, and one in different hospitals across Sylhet division.



The total number of dengue cases in the country has now risen to 15,960, with 60 deaths reported from the mosquito-borne disease this year. In the last 24 hours alone, 288 patients have been discharged from various hospitals.



The situation this year shows a significant decrease in cases and fatalities compared to last year, where the total number of cases reached 101,214 and 575 deaths were reported due to dengue, as per the DGHS statement.
