Hobigonj: Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder has announced that the current interim government has formulated a plan aimed at enhancing the quality of primary education. The initiative focuses on several key areas, including infrastructure development, re-enrolling dropout students, addressing manpower shortages in schools, and providing training for teachers. Dr. Podder emphasized that urgent measures would be taken to tackle these issues effectively.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Podder revealed these plans during a press briefing following a meeting on the development of primary education in Hobigonj district. The meeting served as a platform for exchanging views on the challenges and opportunities within the sector.
Primary and Mass Education Secretary Abu Taher M Masud Rana attended the event as a special guest, providing additional insights into the government’s commitment to educational reform. Also in attendance were Director General of the Primary Education Department Abu Nur Mohammad Shamsuzzaman and senior officials from both the district administration and the primary education department.
