Netrokona: An elderly man died and 12 others were injured after a bus carrying a groom's party lost control and fell into a roadside ditch at Chuchua village under Sadar upazila here this afternoon. The deceased was identified as Kabir Mia, 65, a resident of Munshipur village under Atpara upazila of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-Charge of Netrokona Model Police Station, Kazi Shahnewaz, stated that the accident occurred when the bus carrying the groom's family members veered into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering. The groom's uncle, Kabir, died on the spot, and 12 others sustained injuries.
The injured individuals were taken to Netrokona Hospital for treatment.
