Dhaka: A baseless press release, purportedly signed by the Controller of Examinations (Cadre) of the Public Service Commission Secretariat, has been circulating on social media, claiming the postponement of the 48th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination. This has caught the attention of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC), which has firmly denied the authenticity of the document.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BPSC released an official handout today declaring the press release as completely false and fabricated. The commission emphasized that no such announcement has been issued by them. They urged the public to rely only on press releases, circulars, and notices published on the official website of the commission for accurate information.
The commission warned that legal action will be taken against individuals responsible for disseminating such misleading information. The BPSC reiterated the importance of verifying information through official channels to avoid confusion and misinformation.
