Rajshahi: All types of online General Diary (GD) services have been launched in all 151 police stations under the Rajshahi and Rangpur ranges, along with the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police and Rangpur Metropolitan Police. This initiative aims to simplify police services by allowing citizens to file GDs online from their homes, following directives from the Chief Adviser.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Media, Police Headquarters, Enamul Haque Sagar, confirmed the launch and emphasized Bangladesh Police's commitment to providing efficient police services directly to citizens. The online GD service, which was previously limited to cases of loss and receipt, is now available in all police stations within the Dhaka Range, Mymensingh Range, Sylhet Range, Sylhet Metropolitan Police, Chittagong Range, and Chittagong Metropolitan Police.
The initiative will extend to other regions and metropolitan areas in phases. Citizens can access the online GD service by downloading the 'Online GD' App from the Google Play Store. Registration is required only once, and for assistance with registration or filing an online GD, individuals can contact the 24-hour hotline number 01320001428.
