Four New Covid-19 Cases Detected in Chattogram

Chattogram: The port city has reported four more Covid-19 cases out of 92 tests conducted in the last 24 hours in the district. With these new cases, the total number of coronavirus infections in Chattogram has reached 182 over the past 28 days, according to Dr. Jahangir Alam, the Civil Surgeon of Chattogram.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Jahangir Alam stated that coronavirus tests are being administered in 10 different laboratories, including the RT-PCR lab at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH). Currently, 67 infected patients are receiving treatment at various designated hospitals in the area.



Of the total 182 confirmed cases, 165 are residents of the port city, while the remaining 17 are from different upazilas. So far, seven Covid-19 related deaths have been reported in the district. Dr. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury mentioned that the Health Department has implemented comprehensive measures to contain the spread of the virus.



He urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and consistently wear masks to mitigate the risk of infection.
