Rangpur: Vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Professor Dr. Md Showkat Ali has emphasized that innovative knowledge and ideas will be instrumental in advancing the university. He made these remarks during a greeting and introduction session with students who have joined the university's campus radio as volunteers. The event took place in the virtual classroom of the university's academic building-2, where Dr. Ali served as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Ali congratulated the students for their involvement with the campus radio, highlighting that the platform should encapsulate all public opinions related to the university. He further emphasized that participating in campus radio activities as part of co-curricular engagement will enhance the communication skills of the students.
The event was presided over by Dr. Most Sifat Rumana, Director of BRUR campus radio and Associate Professor of the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences. Special guests included Professor Dr. Md Elias Pramanik, Director of the Office of Student Affairs, and Dr. Md Harun-or Rashid, the university registrar.
Members of the BRUR campus radio board of directors, along with volunteer students, attended the session, marking a significant step in incorporating innovative knowledge and co-curricular activities in the academic environment of BRUR.
