Sylhet: A person was killed and 11 others were injured in a road accident at Kurabazar in Osmani Nagar upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway today. The deceased was identified as Raju, 26, from Nagardia village in Nagarkanda upazila of Faridpur district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred when two passenger buses from ‘Ena Paribahan’ and ‘Unique Paribahan’ collided head-on in the area. The collision resulted in the immediate death of Raju, who was a helper on the ‘Unique Paribahan’ bus.
Highway Police’s Sylhet Control Room confirmed the incident, reporting that eleven passengers, including the drivers of both buses, sustained injuries in the collision.
