Madaripur: A middle-aged unidentified woman lost her life in a road accident on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway in the Munshi Bazar area under Shibchar upazila of the district this morning. The tragic incident has brought attention to the safety concerns on this busy expressway.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Zahirul Islam, the Officer-in-Charge of Shibchar Highway Police Station, reported that the accident occurred when a private car struck the woman as she was attempting to cross the road. The collision resulted in critical injuries to the woman.
Following the accident, the woman was immediately transported to the Shibchar Upazila Health Complex. Despite the efforts to save her, doctors at the health complex declared her dead upon arrival. Authorities are currently working to identify the woman and notify her family.
