Rajshahi: School students from now on will receive technical education alongside theoretical knowledge to become skilled manpower. A new technical laboratory has been inaugurated for vocational branch students at Naohata Government High School in Paba upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Upazila Project Implementation Office has established the laboratory as part of its rural infrastructure maintenance (TR) project, aimed at providing practical education to students. Abu Bashir, the Project Implementation Officer, stated that while their usual focus is on the construction and renovation of rural roads, bridges, and culverts, the government is now prioritizing human resource development. This shift is because skilled and educated citizens are considered the best infrastructure of the country.
The project seeks to uplift students by equipping them with technical and vocational skills. Abu Bashir emphasized their effort to utilize government resources effectively to offer world-standard opportunities to the students. Omor Ali, the headmaster of the school, highlighted that the laboratory's modern machinery and instruments will significantly enhance the students' technical knowledge.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Arafat Aman Aziz, who opened the laboratory as the chief guest, remarked on the necessity of technical knowledge to tackle the challenges posed by the fourth industrial revolution.
