Dhaka: The Department of Prisons today announced the transfer of 33 deputy jailors to new assignments across various jails in the country. This decision was formalized through an official order signed by Additional Inspector General Prisons, Colonel Mohammad Mostafa Kamal.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the transfers impacted deputy jailors from numerous key facilities, including Dhaka Central Jail, Chattogram Central Jail, and Jashore Central Jail, among others. The comprehensive transfer list also included officers from smaller district jails such as Feni, Faridpur, and Kushtia. Each of these officers will assume new roles at different stations as part of the department’s strategic personnel realignment.
The reshuffle extended across the breadth of the nation’s prison system, affecting deputy jailors from high-security prisons to regional and district correctional facilities. This move is part of an ongoing effort to optimize the management and operations of the prison service.
