July Uprising Martyrs Remembered for Paving Path to Freedom: Khalid

Dhaka: Religious Affairs Adviser Dr A F M Khalid Hossain today emphasized the significant role played by the martyrs of the July uprising in guiding the country toward freedom. He stated that the sacrifices made by those who were martyred and injured during the uprising were pivotal in leading the nation from darkness to light, and they will be remembered with enduring gratitude.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Khalid made these remarks while addressing a discussion and doa mahfil organized in memory of the July martyrs at the North Kutubkhali Central Jame Masjid in the Jatrabari area of the city. The event was an initiative of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Dr Khalid highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Ministry, stressing the importance of professionalism and adherence to laws and regulations, regardless of political affiliations. He remarked, "I have told the officials of my ministry that it is not a matter who belongs to which party. I will see professionalism. All performances must be considered as per laws and regulations."

The event was presided over by Mufti Saqibul Islam, the Khatib of the North Kutubkhali Central Jame Masjid.
