Dhaka: Bangladesh has continued its consultations with the United States on finalizing the Agreement on Reciprocal Tariff. The latest round of discussions took place in Washington DC on Thursday, where the Bangladesh side was led by National Security Advisor Dr. Khalilur Rahman and the US side by US Assistant Trade Representative Brendan Lynch.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a message from CA's Press Wing indicated that both parties are making significant efforts to conclude the agreement promptly. Dr. Rahman, who previously served as the trade policy chief of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), expressed optimism regarding the progress of the negotiations. "We made very good progress during our consultations with the US team. Both sides are making serious efforts to finalize the agreement expeditiously," Rahman stated.
