Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has extended birthday wishes to Chief Adviser Prof Dr. Muhammad Yunus by presenting him with flowers. This gesture was made to honor Dr. Yunus on his special day.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the information was shared through a press release distributed to the media by the BNP media wing. The press release detailed that at approximately 6 pm, BNP Chairperson's Private Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar personally delivered a bouquet of flowers and a cake to the Chief Adviser's office on behalf of Tarique Rahman.
Major General Ferdousi Hasan Selim, who serves as the Military Secretary to the Chief Adviser, accepted the bouquet and the cake. Following this, the Chief Adviser expressed his gratitude to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman for the floral greetings.
Today marks the 85th birthday of Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, who was born in 1940 in Bathua village of Hathazari upazila of Chattogram. His parents were Dula Mia Sawdagar and Sufia Khatun. Dr. Yunus gained international recognition in 2006 as the first Bangladeshi to receive the Nobel Peace Prize and has been honored with numerous domestic and international awards throughout his career.
