One Dies, Six New Covid-19 Cases Reported in Chattogram

Chattogram: One person died of coronavirus and six more individuals have tested positive in the last 24 hours in the city and district.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, with these new cases, the total number of coronavirus cases in Chattogram has reached 130 in the past 20 days, as stated by Dr. Jahangir Alam, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram. Dr. Alam further mentioned that coronavirus tests are currently being conducted in 12 different laboratories, including the Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) RT-PCR lab.

Currently, 77 infected patients are undergoing treatment at various designated hospitals. Of the total 130 infected people, 119 are residents of the port city, while the remaining 11 are from different upazilas. To date, seven individuals have died of the disease in Chattogram district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury emphasized that the health department is prepared to prevent further coronavirus infections and urged people from all walks of life to avoid crowds and wear masks.
