Dhaka: National University has reorganized the ad-hoc committees of its all colleges and educational institutions, removing the vice-chancellors, pro-vice chancellors, and treasurers of public universities.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, people from other professions with a reputation for promoting education have been appointed to these positions. This information was detailed in a notification signed by National University College Inspector Md Abdul Hai Siddique Sarkar.
The notification specified that those who were previously serving as presidents or honorary members of the existing ad-hoc committees or governing bodies of colleges or educational institutions have been replaced. Instead, various reputed individuals, including presidents of the educational institutions concerned, have been nominated as presidents or honorary members of these institutions.
Principals have been instructed to ensure that the nominated individuals fulfill their responsibilities in their respective roles.
