Beijing: A delegation of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has visited the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer, BYD, in China. This visit is part of the BNP’s efforts to engage with global leaders in technology and innovation.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BYD is one of the largest employment-generating companies worldwide. The company directly employs about one million people and has a significant role in manufacturing electric vehicles, producing lithium batteries, setting up rail communication, and constructing monorails on an international scale.

On Wednesday, the BNP delegation, led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, spent a busy day on the third day of their visit. The nine-member delegation included BNP standing committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman, and AZM Zahid Hossain.

The delegation also comprised BNP chairperson’s advisory council members Zahir Uddin Swapon, Ismail Jabiullah, and Prof Sukomal Barua, along with BNP media cell convener Maudud Ahmed Pavel. The visit to China has been ongoing since last Monday, as noted in a post published on the Facebook page of the BNP media cell.
