Dhaka: Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has announced plans to establish a sports ecosystem in the country by bringing international sports to every region. This initiative aims to decentralize sports activities and promote international games across various parts of the nation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Asif Mahmud made this announcement via a post on his verified Facebook account. He emphasized his commitment to fulfilling the promise of bringing international sports events to different regions, stating, “I promised to bring international sports to every region. A sports ecosystem will be built around it.”
The adviser outlined specific plans for hosting international cricket matches in Rajshahi and international football games in Nilphamari. Additionally, he mentioned the government’s intention to organize international games in Khulna, indicating a broader strategy to enhance the sports infrastructure in these areas.
Asif Mahmud assured that the necessary reforms will be completed soon, paving the way for these international events to take place. “The ball will roll on the field soon after the necessary reforms are completed, Insha Allah,” he added, signaling a proactive approach towards the development of sports in the country.
