Dhaka: Professor Dr Md Monwar Hossain of the Zoology Department at Jahangirnagar University has been nominated for the National Wildlife Conservation Award 2025. This nomination is in recognition of his contributions to wildlife conservation and research.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the nomination was confirmed through a press release issued by Mohammad Mahiuddin, the Acting Director of Jahangirnagar University's Public Relations Office. Prof Monwar has been selected to receive the award in the category of Wildlife Education and Research, which is presented by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan extended his congratulations to Dr Monwar on this prestigious nomination. In a statement, he expressed pride in the recognition, stating, "We are proud and delighted that Prof Dr Md Monwar Hossain has been nominated for this national honour."
