Chattogram: A total of eight dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Chattogram city and district in the last 24 hours. A total of eight people infected with dengue were admitted to government hospitals in the last 24 hours, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam confirmed.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 345 people were admitted to hospitals in the city with the dengue virus this year. Of them, 76 were infected in the current month of June. The breakdown of the infected shows that 157 are residents of the city and 188 are residents of the district. The infected individuals include 194 men, 96 women, and 55 children.
District Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam also mentioned that at least 51 patients are currently undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the city. A total of two people have died this year from dengue fever.
