Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) is set to convene a crucial meeting tomorrow to discuss the code of conduct for political parties and the delimitation of parliamentary constituencies. This meeting is part of the preparation process for the upcoming general election.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the EC’s 7th meeting will take place at its office located in the city’s Agargaon area at 11:00 am. Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin will preside over the meeting. M. Shafiqul Alam, Director (PR) of the EC, confirmed the details to the news agency today.
The meeting aims to provide an in-depth discussion on the code of conduct that candidates of political parties must adhere to. Additionally, the agenda includes the delimitation of parliamentary constituencies, a critical factor in ensuring fair representation in the next general election.
