Writers’ Conference to Feature Kanhapa Sahitya Prize in Naogaon

Naogaon: A two-day long writers’ conference is set to take place in Naogaon on July 17-18. Local art and cultural organization Naogaon Sahitya Parishad will organize the event for the fourth time, where the prestigious Kanhapa Sahitya Prize will be awarded.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the decision for the conference was finalized during a meeting of the advisory council and executive committee of the sahitya parishad. The meeting was chaired by poet and story writer Habib Ratan. Other notable attendees included poet and researcher Barendra Farid, chief executive of Barendra Radio Mahfuz Faruk, editor of literary paper Salok Anindo Tuhin, editor of Rupantar Rabiul Mahmud, editor of Pushpa Keton Khorshed Alam Raju, news editor of Projanmer Alo Abu Reza, poet Rimon Morshed, and Amina Debnath.



Poets from various parts of the country, as well as from Naogaon district, are expected to participate in the conference. During the event, a poet, a novelist, and a small newspaper editor will be honored with the Kanhapa Sahitya Prize.
