Dhaka: The interim government is preparing to launch a nationwide service fair in July, with the aim of providing essential services to underprivileged and vulnerable populations. This initiative is expected to offer significant support to those in need across the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Adviser to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Sharmeen S Murshid, announced the upcoming event during a gathering held to exchange post-Eid greetings with ministry officials and staff. The announcement was made in the ministry's conference room, as detailed in a press release from the Press Information Department (PID).
"This fair will help raise awareness among the helpless and deprived people of society. Through this initiative, they will be able to reach out to the authorities via hotlines to seek assistance and services," Sharmeen S Murshid stated. She emphasized the fair's role in bridging the gap between the government and those in need.
Furthermore, the adviser highlighted ongoing efforts within the ministry to implement structural changes aimed at ensuring the long-term welfare of the nation. These changes are designed to make government services more accessible to the general public, thereby enhancing the overall social support framework.
Sharmeen S Murshid also called upon ministry officials and employees to work diligently to sustain the progress achieved over the past ten months, underscoring the importance of maintaining the momentum of recent advancements.
