Rangpur: Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival for Muslims, is being celebrated in Rangpur with due religious fervor and solemnity today. The festival began with the main congregation led by Alhaj Hafeez Kwari Moulana Md Bayezid Hussaine, the Khatib of the historical Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque, at 8 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the district administration, Rangpur Metropolitan Police, Rangpur City Corporation, and law enforcement agencies have implemented adequate measures to ensure the peaceful observance of the festival across the city. These arrangements aim to facilitate smooth and secure celebrations for all residents.
Additionally, improved diets have been served to the inmates of hospitals, orphanages, jails, vagrant centers, and Shishu Paribars, allowing them to partake in the joy of the occasion. The community’s efforts highlight the spirit of generosity and welfare central to the Eid-ul-Azha celebrations.
