Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind at different parts of the country for the next 120 hours beginning this morning. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions, the forecast added. Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, Rajshahi division, while today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 22.8 degrees Celsius in Tetulia, Rangpur division. The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours until 6am today was recorded at 24 millimeters in Gopalgonj, Dhaka division. The sun sets at 6.45pm today and rises at 5.10am tomorrow in the capital.
