Barishal: Over 300 Eid-ul-Azha congregations are set to take place between 7 am and 9:30 am in various mosques throughout Barishal city and district. Barishal City Corporation will organize the main Eid congregation at Hemayet Uddin Eidgah Maidan at 7:30 am, as confirmed by the National Imam Association of Barishal Metropolitan City.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, city corporation officials have stated that more than 10,000 devotees will have the opportunity to offer Eid prayers simultaneously at Hemayet Uddin Eidgah. Additionally, two Eid congregations will be held at Baitul Mukarram Mosque, with the first scheduled for 8 am and the second for 9 am. Similarly, Jamaat-e-Kasai Mosque will conduct two congregations at the same times.
The first congregation at Ebaidullah Mosque will commence at 8 am, followed by a second one at 9:30 am. One of the largest gatherings in the Barishal division is planned at Charmonai Madrasa ground at 9 am, as mentioned by Charmonai Union Parishad Chairman Syed Ziaul Karim. Another significant congregation will occur on the Sharchina Madrasa premises in Nesarabad Upazila of Pirojpur at 8 am.
In Jhalokathi, the primary Eid congregation is scheduled at Nesarabad Jamaat-e-Kayed Sab Hujurbari at 8 am, according to Maulana Mohammad Mahabubur Rahman, the administrative officer of the mosque. Additionally, the Guthia Baitul Aman Mosque in Wazirpur Upazila of Barishal district will host an Eid congregation at 8 am, as stated by Imam Siddiqur Rahman, who is overseeing the programme.
