Dhaka: The government has allocated Taka 10,279 crore for the Ministry of Shipping in the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2025-26. This allocation marks an increase of Taka 1,284 crore compared to the revised budget of the previous fiscal year 2024-25.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, of the total allocation, Taka 891 crore is proposed for operational purposes, while Taka 9,388 crore is earmarked for development projects. This significant budgetary increase underscores the government’s focus on enhancing the country’s shipping infrastructure and operations.
