Dinajpur: Two people were killed in a tragic road accident at Zakerganj under Parbatipur upazila of the district today. The deceased were Rabiul Islam, 25, son of Taslim Uddin of Jagannathpur village, and Sujit Chandra Das, 24, son of Sushanta Das of Rajnagar village of the upazila. Both were technicians at CY Molding (BD) Company Limited located in Saidpur Uttara EPZ in Nilphamari district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred on the Parbatipur-Saidpur road around 10 am when a motorcycle collided head-on with a sand-laden truck. The collision resulted in the immediate death of the two motorbike riders at the scene, confirmed Inspector Abdullah Al Mamun, Officer-in-Charge of Parbatipur Model Police Station.
Following the accident, the police recovered the bodies and transported them to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
