Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today instructed the National Consensus Commission to quickly finalize the work plan for the next phase of talks with political parties. He made this instruction during a meeting of the Commission held at the State Guest House Jamuna this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Yunus, who is also the head of the Commission, commended the positive attitudes displayed by political parties during the first phase of discussions centered around reforms. The meeting also included a review of the commission's overall activities.
The one-and-a-half-hour meeting was attended by notable figures such as Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz, along with members Dr Badiul Alam Majumder, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Safar Raj Hossain, and Dr Mohammad Ayub Miah.
Additionally, several advisers were present, including Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul, Planning Adviser Professor Wahiduddin Mahmud, Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Energy and Road Transport Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, and Information and Broadcasting Ministry Adviser Mahfuj Alam.
