Dhaka: The first Joint Committee Meeting on Defense Cooperation between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia was successfully organized at Dhaka Cantonment today. The meeting, held under the supervision of the Armed Forces Division (AFD), marks a significant step in strengthening the bilateral military relations between the two nations.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting aimed to develop mutual relations, expand strategic cooperation, and coordinate key areas such as joint military training, education, the defense industry, and joint exercises. These discussions are intended to achieve mutual defense-related goals and are seen as an important milestone in the growing defense relations between the two countries.
The meeting featured a Saudi delegation led by Major General Mohammed Ibrahim Al Khalidi, while the Bangladesh delegation was headed by Lieutenant General S M Kamrul Hassan, the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division.
