Narsingdi: A housewife was killed after being hit by a train at the Basail Rail Gate area in Narsingdi municipality this noon. The deceased was Selina Begum, 50, wife of Bashir Uddin, a resident of the same area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred when the Dhaka-bound Kalni Express train hit Selina Begum while she was walking on the rail track. Md Zahurul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of the Narsingdi Railway Police Outpost, stated that she died on the spot.
