Magura: The Magura unit of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum (BJAF), a platform of pro-BNP lawyers, has demanded the arrest and trial of former Chief Justice A B M Khairul Haque. They accuse him of being the main plotter behind the destruction of the country’s judiciary and democracy.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BJAF leaders made this demand during a protest rally held at the Magura district Ainjibi Samity Chattar. They also called for the removal of judges from higher and lower courts, citing corruption and their alleged alliance with the ousted regime.
The event featured speeches from BJAF Magura district unit president Advocate Roknuzzaman Khan, general secretary Advocate Shahed Hasan Tagor, and other leaders including Advocate Kazi Minhaj, Advocate Kabirul Islam, and Advocate Farhana Parvin Beauty.
