Two Separate Fatal Incidents Claim Lives in Satkhira

Dhaka: Two people were killed in separate incidents in Sadar and Shyamnagar upazilas of the district today. The deceased are Naeem Hasan, 18, a second-year honors student of Satkhira Government College and son of Shahidul Islam of Kakdanga village under Keragachi union of Kalaroa upazila, and Fazlur Rahman, 55, a lecturer of Dargahpur NDS Madrasa in Shyamnagar upazila and son of Lutfar Rahman of Taranpur village under Ramjannagar union of Shyamnagar upazila.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Naeem Hasan was killed when a goods-laden truck hit his motorbike in the Agardari area of Sadar upazila this morning, said Md. Shaminul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station. In a separate incident, madrasa teacher Fazlur Rahman died after being electrocuted at Taranpur village of Shyamnagar upazila this morning. He came in contact with a live electric wire around 8 am while he was watering the wall of his house using a water pump, said Md. Humayun Kabir Mollah, Officer-in-Charge of Shyamnagar Police Station.
