Dhaka: Bangla Academy Director General Professor Mohammad Azam today emphasized the potential of fostering new researchers and diverse research to enrich Bangla language, literature, and other fields of knowledge with the latest ideas and innovations. Speaking as the chief guest at an agreement signing ceremony with 50 selected researchers for three-month research-essay proposals, held at the Shaheed Munir Chowdhury conference room of the Bangla Academy, he highlighted the importance of engaging the country's talented and dynamic youth in this endeavor to elevate research standards.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Professor Azam noted that this research-proposal project initiative continues Bangla Academy's long-standing tradition of research. He expressed that the engagement of young researchers is crucial for bringing fresh perspectives and ideas, which will contribute to the development and enrichment of Bangla language and literature.
Academy Secretary Dr Md Selim Reza mentioned that the Bangla Academy's research project has generated significant enthusiasm among researchers across the country. He expressed confidence in the abilities of the selected researchers to complete their works within the designated time frame, thereby contributing to the overall success of the initiative.
Academy Director (Current Charge) Dr Sarkar Amin highlighted that Bangla Academy is primarily a research-focused institution. He expressed hope that the selected researchers will carry forward new research trends and make significant contributions to the enrichment of the Bangla language and research, ensuring the academy's tradition of fostering innovation continues.
The event was moderated by Bangla Academy Deputy Director Dr Simon Zakaria, who coordinated the proceedings and facilitated the discussions among the attendees.
