Dhaka: A meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee is set to convene tomorrow to assess the visibility of the new moon marking the beginning of Zilqad, the 11th month in the Islamic calendar, for the year 1,446 Hijri. The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Ashkona Hazi Camp meeting room.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting will be presided over by Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain, who serves as both the Religious Affairs Adviser and the President of the National Moon Sighting Committee. A press release has detailed the proceedings of the upcoming gathering.
