Rome: Cardinal Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue George Jacob Koovakad met with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at his hotel in Rome. The meeting took place on Saturday during Professor Yunus’s visit to the city for the funeral mass of Pope Francis.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Uruguay Foreign Minister Mario Lubetkin also paid a visit to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at his hotel. The Bangladesh Chief Adviser was in Rome to participate in the funeral mass held at St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City.
Before and after the funeral service, the Chief Adviser had the opportunity to exchange greetings with a number of global leaders. Among those he interacted with were UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, EU President Ursula von der Leyen, former US President Joe Biden, President of Finland Alexander Stubb, and several other notable figures from around the world. The event brought together dignitaries including the King and Queen of Belgium, the Prime Minister of Belgium, Prince Albert of Monaco, and various foreign ministers and heads of states, reflecting the global significance of the occasion.
