CJ Departs for Trkiye and UAE to Attend Judicial and Academic Events

Dhaka: Chief Justice Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed today left for Trkiye and United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in two separate events as an invited guest, official sources said.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, he departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7 am today to attend his first event in Trkiye. Md Shafiqul Islam, Public Relations Officer of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court, informed that the chief justice will participate in the 63rd founding anniversary celebrations of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Trkiye. This event is being held at the invitation of Justice Kadir OZKAYA, President of the constitutional court of Trkiye.



In addition to the anniversary functions, the chief justice will attend an international symposium at Dolmabah§e Palace in Istanbul tomorrow. His visit to the UAE will include an international conference where he will serve as a panel speaker. The conference, titled ‘Climate Justice and the Constitution: Reflection from the Global South,’ is organized by New York University-Abu Dhabi and is scheduled for April 28 in Abu Dhabi.



On the same day, Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed will also deliver a speech at a workshop for students and teachers of New York University-Abu Dhabi, further contributing to the academic discourse during his visit.
