Doha: Qatar Minister for Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Al Thani met with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus in Doha today. During their meeting, they discussed various issues related to trade and commerce, alongside other matters of mutual interest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was part of a series of engagements for Chief Adviser Prof Yunus, who is currently attending the Earthna Summit. Earlier in the day, Qatar Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman bin Hassan Al-Thani also held discussions with Prof Yunus on the summit’s sidelines.
Additionally, Prof Yunus addressed a high-level roundtable focusing on “Social and Environment Challenges Around Forcibly Displaced Populations-The Case of the Rohingya” at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Doha.
Furthermore, Vice President for Global Engagement at SpaceX, Lauren Dreyer, met with Prof Yunus during the summit. Their conversation revolved around the final steps needed to implement SpaceX satellite services in Bangladesh, as confirmed by Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Apurba Jahangir.
