Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today expressed hope that the upcoming Pahela Baishakh celebration will help bridge divisions among the people. "After the fall of the fascist from state power, this year's Pahela Baishakh will be celebrated in a free atmosphere. Therefore, I believe, the festival will be filled with mutual greetings by removing divisions among the people," he stated in a message on the occasion of the Bengali New Year.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mirza Fakhrul referred to the Bangla New Year as a symbol of unity among Bangladeshis, emphasizing how the festival brings a sense of peace from its dawn. He extended his greetings to the people, highlighting that the Bangla New Year is a vibrant festival that fosters national unity.
