Gazipur: City Club and Arambagh Krira Sangha emerged victorious in their respective matches of the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) football, which took place at two separate venues today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, at the Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur, City Club overcame a deficit to defeat Farashganj Sporting Club with a score of 3-1. Mobinur Rashid, Masum Mia, and Mijanur Rahman each found the net for City Club in the 27th, 38th, and 86th minutes, respectively. Farashganj’s Sujon Mia scored the initial goal of the match in the fifth minute.
In another match, Arambagh Krira Sangha triumphed over BRTC Sports Club with a 3-1 scoreline at the Bashundhara Kings arena practice ground in the capital. Jakir Hossain Ziku led the way for Arambagh with goals in the 38th and 63rd minutes, while Ariful Islam Sakhawat added another in the 49th minute. BRTC’s Md Imon managed to score in the 45+1st minute.
The day’s third match saw Dhaka Rangers and Wari Club sharing the spoils with a 2-2 draw at Fortis ground in the capital. Al Amin Rahman and Md Rubel scored for Dhaka Rangers in the 40th and 90+3rd minutes, while Sabbir Ahmed Opurbo and Shahnar Ahmed Shuvo netted for Wari Club in the 16th and 86th minutes, respectively.
