Dhaka: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today shared memories of his wife's mental state when she was first diagnosed with a critical ailment and her time in prison during her surgery.

He described feeling mentally collapsed upon hearing the news.

Fakhrul recounted how he decided to have her surgery as soon as possible but was taken from his home by the Awami League police at 3 am, just before the surgery was scheduled. He mentioned that during his wife's surgery, he was in jail, and only his daughter and Dr. Zahid were present at the hospital. He expressed gratitude to their acting chairman and his siblings for inquiring about her condition.
