Khulna: As part of a nationwide protest initiative, the Khulna branch of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized a rally this afternoon to express solidarity with the people of Gaza and Rafah in Palestine. The demonstration aimed to denounce the mass killings and atrocities committed against Palestinians by Israeli occupation forces.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event included speeches from senior BNP leaders, including city unit convener Shafiqul Alam Mona and member secretary Shafiqul Alam Tuhin. The rally commenced at around 5:30 pm, following these addresses. Mona highlighted the significant turnout of ordinary citizens, attributing their participation to the emotional impact of the Israeli actions.

He condemned the violence and repression faced by innocent Palestinians, including women and children, and criticized the lack of response from global Muslim leaders. BNP leaders emphasized that if Muslim countries had united and collectively opposed the ongoing actions, Israel might have reconsidered its approach.

The rally concluded with thousands of BNP leaders, activists, and members of its associate bodies participating in a protest procession throughout the city.
