Jhenaidah: Three youths were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Krishnachandrapur under Maheshpur upazila of the district on Tuesday evening. The deceased were Bidhan Kumar Roy, 17, son of Mungla Roy, and Rajaram Babu, 20, son of Badal Roy, both from Krishnachandrapur village, and Samaul Islam, 19, son of Hamidul Islam of Alampur village of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place on the Kaliganj-Jibannagar road around 8 pm when two motorbikes collided head-on. The collision resulted in the immediate deaths of bike riders Bidhan and Babu, while four others were injured, as reported by Faiz Uddin Mridha, Officer-in-Charge of Maheshpur Police Station.
The injured were initially taken to Kotchandpur Upazila Health Complex. Subsequently, they were transferred to Jashore General Hospital where Samaul succumbed to his injuries at midnight.
