Two Men Killed, Four Injured in Ullapara Road Accident

Ullapara: Two men were killed and four others injured in a road accident in the Purbadelua area of Ullapara upazila on the Hatikumrul-Nagarbari highway.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased were identified as Shariful Islam, 26, son of Abdul Aziz of Alokdia village in Salanga thana, and Abdul Momin, son of Anwar Hossain, of Dubdanga village in Ullapara upazila. Police, quoting locals, reported that the accident occurred when a lorry collided with an auto-rickshaw, resulting in the immediate deaths of the auto driver Shariful and its passenger Momin, while injuring four others.

Authorities have seized the lorry involved in the accident, but its driver and helper managed to escape the scene. The injured have been transported to a local hospital for treatment.
