Mild to Moderate Heat Wave Impacts Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Khulna Divisions

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today announced that a mild to moderate heat wave is currently affecting various regions of the country and may ease in some areas. "Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the districts of Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Barishal and Patukhali and it may abate some places," noted a BMD bulletin issued this morning commencing at 9am. The bulletin also indicated that weather conditions across the country may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the highest temperature recorded was 39.4 degrees Celsius in Jashore, located in the Khulna division, on Saturday. Conversely, the lowest temperature was noted as 16.8 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, situated in the Rajshahi division, today. Residents of Dhaka can expect the sun to set at 6:14 pm today and rise at 5:52 am tomorrow, as per the latest meteorological information.
