Dhaka: Bangladesh Shishu Academy today celebrated the great Independence Day and National Day in a befitting manner. Discussion and prize-giving ceremony were held at the auditorium of the academy marking the day, a press release stated.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Women and Children Affairs Ministry Secretary Momtaz Ahmed addressed the discussion as the chief guest. Other speakers at the event included the Daily Jugantar Editor, poet Abdul Hi Shikder, and Jatiya Grantha Kendro Director Afsana Begum. Bangladesh Shishu Academy Director General Dilara Begum presided over the meeting.
Following the discussion, the chief guest distributed prizes and certificates among the winners of the art competition organized by the academy on the occasion of Independence Day and National Day.
